Why is my mo so mad at me?

I went to a performing arts camp where i memorized a monologue titled "Catholic Schoolgirls" (read for yourself so you can better decide, it isnt long: http://www.whysanity.net/monos/catholic.html ). Today was showcase and i performed it, i did rather well and was very proud of it. But, when i got home my mom said that was a bit dis-respectful, as was a text that I sent my mother, when she texted me that she loved and missed me. I told her not to get so nostalgic or I would block her number. My mother was just trying to explain and tell me that is dis-respectful. However, I don't understand why she is so mad????? Would your Mom be at mad at that? Someone please help.
